Chelsea has signed Spanish left back Marc Cucurella from Brighton and Hove Albion for a reported fee of around £58 million. The 24 year old defender has signed a six year contract with the Blues and will wear the number 3 shirt.

Cucurella is a product of Barcelona’s youth academy and has also played for Eibar and Getafe in Spain. He has been capped once by the Spanish national team.

Cucurella is known for his attacking abilities and is considered one of the best left backs in the Premier League. He is expected to challenge Ben Chilwell for a starting spot at Chelsea.
