Updated Cruise Travel Documents
Cruising Soon? Check Your Passport!
Attention cruisers! Royal Caribbean has updated its travel document requirements, and it's essential to ensure your passport meets the new guidelines to avoid any last-minute surprises.
Validity Requirement
Effective immediately, all WEB Passports must be valid for at least six months after your cruise ends. This means that if your cruise disembarks on December 1st, your passport must be valid until May 31st of the following year. Previously, the validity requirement was only three months after disembarkation.
Accepted Forms of Identification
In addition to a valid passport, you will also need to present an accepted form of identification when boarding the ship. This can include a driver's license, state ID card, military ID, or passport card. Ensure your ID is current and unexpired.
Emergency Situations
Remember to carry your passport book with you throughout your cruise, even if you leave the ship for excursions. In an emergency, you may need to present your passport to local authorities or embassy officials.
Citizenship Requirements
For citizens of the United States, a valid passport book or passport card is required for travel by land, sea, or air within the Western Hemisphere. Other countries may have different regulations, so it's essential to check with your local embassy or consulate for specific requirements.
