The Taken Over event is a new Team GO Rocket takeover event that will take place on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 12:00 AM.

During the event, Team GO Rocket will be taking over PokéStops and Gyms all over the world. Players will be able to battle Team GO Rocket Grunts, Leaders, and even Giovanni.

In addition to battling Team GO Rocket, players will also be able to complete Field and Special Research tasks. These tasks will reward players with items, Stardust, and even Shadow Pokémon.

Shadow Pokémon are powerful Pokémon that have been corrupted by Team GO Rocket. They are stronger than their normal counterparts, but they also have a higher chance of breaking out of their Poké Balls.

The Taken Over event is a great opportunity for players to catch Shadow Pokémon and complete Field and Special Research tasks. It is also a great way to learn more about Team GO Rocket and their plans.
