The Denver Broncos kicked off their 2024 preseason with a hard-fought 34-30 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The game was played at Empower Field at Mile High in front of a sold-out crowd.
The Broncos took an early lead in the game, but the Colts came back to tie it up in the second quarter. The Colts then took the lead in the third quarter, but the Broncos came back to tie it up again in the fourth quarter. With just over two minutes remaining in the game, the Broncos scored a touchdown to take the lead for good.
The Broncos were led by quarterback Russell Wilson, who threw for 325 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy had a big game, catching seven passes for 100 yards and a touchdown. Running back Javonte Williams also had a solid day, rushing for 65 yards and a touchdown.
For the Colts, quarterback Matt Ryan threw for 285 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. had a big game, catching six passes for 100 yards and a touchdown. Running back Nyheim Hines also had a solid day, rushing for 60 yards and a touchdown.
The Broncos will look to build on their victory next week when they take on the Buffalo Bills in their second preseason game.
